We’re looking for seasoned sales professionals who can hit the ground running. You'll need to have an extensive network of Talent Acquisition contacts who will take your call to be successful here.
This is a Business Development job- it’s not account managing, it’s account hunting. If you cannot generate new meetings and appointments on your own via networking etc., you’re going to be unhappy here.
We are looking for a sole contributor- this is not a management role.
After you go through your existing contacts, you’ll need to be able to make the case to people who don’t know you that they need to see you. That’s the tough part. Our biggest challenge is getting that first meeting- after that we do well.
You should know who the technology players are in the space, who our competitors are, and you should be able to tap into your existing network to line up appointments and pitches. People who do well here are creative thinkers. You like coming up with solutions to client issues, and you can even hear when a client has a problem they are not aware of yet.

Prospect and pitch mid-sized, and Fortune 1000 accounts by building relationships with Senior HR and Talent Acquisition professionals (CHRO/SVP/VP/DIR)
Be a credible subject matter expert regarding trends in recruitment advertising (all the cool new stuff, digital, social, mobile, search media)
Formulate and answer requests for proposals (RFPs); liaise with RFP team
Research new client prospects and their competitors thoroughly
Develop market business plan to achieve goal annually
Manage pipeline; responsible for weekly/monthly reporting
Maintain a working knowledge of our current product and service offerings
Maintain expertise of industry and competitors; continually gather competitive intelligence
Attend networking conferences regularly
Experience in outside consultative sales in advertising, staffing, HR Technology, or related field
You have 5+ years of direct Human Capital industry experience. If you don't, this isn’t the right gig for you
Be able to tell a good joke
Think creatively. Heck, maybe even actually be creative. People who do well here paint, dance, write, cook, etc.
Asymmetrical thinking encouraged
Strong needs analysis, interpersonal and listening skills
Knowledge of online recruitment and advertising/communications strategies
Strong presentation skills- really strong. And understand that PowerPoint is not the messenger, you are
Excellent communications skills. Be able to write your own stuff
Display strong closing techniques throughout the sales cycle
Articulate, motivated and organized. Able to work with a minimum of supervision
Comfortable working with senior executives and display ability to develop relationships at all levels
Proficiency with MS Office suite
We use Salesforce. Either know it, or be able to figure it out
Be comfortable in a team-selling environment
Be familiar with Power Messaging, or be smart enough to figure it out
If you really like a strong hierarchical corporate structure, you’ll be sad here. There is a minimum of training. We will all give you whatever you need to succeed, but there’s no three-week course or Bayard University or anything like that
